215 is a two-year commitment. The program starts in June and ends in May, 24 months later.

Residents are given a $750/month stipend while they experience ministry and leadership at Southeast. Single Residents also have the opportunity to stay in a host home offered by a Southeast member at no cost.

Strong preference is given to college graduates, but exceptions can be made for college seniors committed to graduation with the ability to complete their degree online. Bible College or Seminary training is not required, but may be helpful to you as a great foundation to build on in 215.

You can, but 215 will be a significant commitment that will require time, energy, and attention. It’s possible to engage both 215 and graduate school, but if the schedules for 215 and your graduate program are incompatible, you will need to choose one or the other.

Residents can focus in Student Ministry, Adult Discipleship (Men's, Women's, Groups, New Members, etc.), Missions, Preaching, Production, Children's Ministry, Care Ministry, and Worship. We talk with applicants at length about their ministry strengths and goals in order to make the best assignment and fit possible for both the Resident and Southeast. It is important for Residents to be flexible based on what Program Leaders think will be the best fit to provide Residents with the best experience. Regardless of a specific concentration area, each Resident gets well-rounded experience from access to our entire church.

The most important things we look for in 215 Residents are humility, teachability, and a commitment to the way of Jesus. We can only accept a limited number or Residents, so we are looking for those with the highest calling, competency, and ministry ceiling we can find. If that's you, we'd love for you to apply!
